RULES:

• Driver must be 25 years old and have a valid driver's license.

• Must provide proof of valid, full coverage insurance.

• Driver must be at least 5' tall to safely reach gas and brake pedals.

• If the unit is returned excessively dirty or with trash left in the unit, there will be a minimum of $50 charge.  Please clean out your trash in dispose of properly.  

• If rental is returned late, past return time, you will be charged $50 per hour.  Please call us if you see you will be running late!

• There is no discount for returning the unit early.

• There is no refund for poor weather, so please check ahead!  If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so with 24-hour advance notice in order to be refunded.

• We have the right to refuse or cancel a reservation(s) if we feel there is a risk of safety.

• No alcohol or drug use before or during rental of any equipment. Never drive or ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs!  

• Riding a UTV involves risks on the part of the participant. We cannot be responsible for personal injury or lost or damaged articles. 

• ALL PARTICIPANTS 18 AND OVER are required to be present to read and sign a liability release prior to departure. FOR MINORS: a parent or guardian must be present and list full name and date of birth on the liability form giving permission to participate in riding any equipment.

• Renters are required to know and follow all state and federal land guidelines and regulations. If you have any questions, ASK!

• NC State Law allows UTVs on paved roads as follows:

  • The posted speed limit must be 55 MPH or less on two-lane roads.

  • The posted speed limit must be 35 MPH or less if the road has four or more travel lanes

  • You can cross streets at intersections that don’t meet these rules

• Absolutely NO "off-roading" allowed.

• Seat Belts are required to be worn at all times.

• Do not ride on or through any: private land, through closed gates, or any other place marked or posted as PRIVATE or NO TRESPASSING.

• The renter is responsible for all damages, regardless of who is in control of the rental. The rental needs to be returned in the same condition as it originally left the premises in or the card on file will be charged. If you have damaged the rental, please call us immediately at 828-230-1887. 

• Never carry more passengers than the UTV is designed for, and never allow a passenger who is too small to sit in a passenger seat to ride in the UTV.

• All passengers should be able to grab safety handles, rest back against the seat back, and have both feet flat on the floor.  If they cannot reach the floor, they cannot ride.

• Keep arms and legs inside the unit at all times!

• Sorry, No Pets Allowed. We love pets, but unfortunately, they are NOT allowed in our rental vehicles at any time. In order to keep our vehicles clean for all renters, we have a strict no-pet policy. If an unauthorized pet is found in our vehicle, or to have been inside our vehicle, a $200 fee will be assessed. Any damage to the vehicle will be assessed separately and billed in addition to the $200 fee.

• CANCELATION POLICY - Full refund if 24-hour notice is given.

• You absolutely, positively, MUST have a good time!

WHILE IN THE NATIONAL PARK OR PARKWAY:

• Do NOT Litter!  Dispose of your trash in the park receptacles or return it to us to dispose of.

• NO "OFF-ROADING"!  You must only drive on the Park roads where vehicles are allowed.  No off-roading or riding on hiking trails, backcountry, etc.

• BE CAREFUL OF ELK!  They are everywhere.  Observe them from a distance and never approach them.  If you are parked viewing the elk or other wildlife, please turn off the motor.

• TAKE LOTS OF PHOTOS!  There are some beautiful sites in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, enjoy them and take lots of pics!  You are welcome to tag us in any posts too!
